Plastic Bag Ban Temporarily Suspended

The Director of Emergency Management has suspended enforcement of the City's plastic bag ban.

Council Cancels Water Disconnects and Late Charges for Utility Payments

City Council has cancelled water disconnects and late charges for utility payments. The City continues to accept and process utility payments; however, City Council has cancelled water disconnects and late charges for utility payments.

As of March 19, 2020, all water disconnects have been postponed and no late fees will be applied to outstanding utility payments. City Council will re-assess this postponement by June 30, 2020. For those wishing to continue paying their utility bills, here are your options:

  • Setting up bill payments through your bank (in person or online)
  • Mailing a cheque to the City at: P.O. Box 6210, Wetaskiwin, AB, T9A 2E9
  • Delivering a money order or cheque to Wetaskiwin City Hall’s night drop box (located on the north side of 4705 - 50 Avenue)
