The City of Wetaskiwin has partnered with the Leduc & Wetaskiwin Regional Chamber of Commerce to offer a COVID business recovery grant program to provide assistance to small businesses residing in the City of Wetaskiwin.
In these unprecedented times, the City of Wetaskiwin and the City of Leduc have partnered with the Chamber on a COVID-19 recovery grant program to provide additional assistance to small businesses within the City limits meeting the program eligibility requirements.
The City of Wetaskiwin is relieving some of the expenses of a small business requiring a third-party qualified legal service or accountant/bookkeeper (with knowledge/experience with government support programs: CEWS, CEBA, CERB, CERS, SMERG) to assist them to understand program details, collect required information, and preparation/completion of the documentation in accordance with program guidelines required to submit.
The Chamber of Commerce will administer this program on behalf of The City of Wetaskiwin. To take part in this program, both the third-party agency and the small business recipient must be located within the City limits, with a current City of Wetaskiwin business license, and be required to submit an application.
The City of Wetaskiwin will provide funding for up to 1 hour of legal services, OR up to 5 hours of accounting or bookkeeping services to a maximum of $500. Payment will be made directly to the third-party agency upon the Chamber’s receipt of invoice. This Grant does not relieve any invoices for services rendered from the 2020 year.
